Time Off

We trust you to manage your own time. Our policy is designed to be flexible while ensuring the team can plan around absences.

Flexible PTO

We offer flexible (unlimited) PTO with a minimum of 15 days per year. We set a minimum because we genuinely want people to take time off — rest makes you better at your job.

How to request time off

  1. Check with your team lead for any scheduling conflicts
  2. Submit your request in the HR system at least 2 weeks in advance
  3. Add it to the team calendar
  4. Set up an out-of-office reply if you'll be gone 3+ days

Leave types

  • Parental leave — 16 weeks fully paid for all new parents
  • Bereavement leave — up to 5 days for immediate family
  • Jury duty — fully paid
  • Sick leave — unlimited, no documentation needed for short absences

Tips

  • Plan ahead — give your team enough notice to cover your work
  • Truly disconnect — don't check Slack on vacation; we'll manage
  • Use your days — your manager may reach out if you're not taking enough time off
