Code of Conduct

We are committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone. This code of conduct applies to all Bscale spaces — in-person, virtual, and online.

Our pledge

We pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation.

Expected behavior

  • Be respectful — disagree constructively, not destructively
  • Be inclusive — actively welcome diverse perspectives
  • Be professional — maintain a standard of conduct you'd be proud of
  • Be collaborative — help others succeed
  • Be accountable — own your mistakes and learn from them

Unacceptable behavior

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind
  • Offensive comments related to personal characteristics
  • Unwelcome sexual attention or advances
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
  • Disrupting meetings, events, or conversations
  • Publishing private information without consent

Reporting

If you experience or witness a violation of this code of conduct:

  1. Talk to your manager if you feel comfortable doing so
  2. Contact People Ops at #people-ops or hr@bscale.com
  3. Anonymous reporting is available through our ethics hotline

All reports are taken seriously and handled confidentially. There will be no retaliation against anyone who reports in good faith.

Consequences

Violations may result in actions ranging from a conversation to termination, depending on severity and context. Our goal is always to educate and correct, but we will act decisively to protect our community.
